Executive Team

Deven has international experience in M&A, strategy consulting, and private equity, having worked across North and South America, Australasia, and Europe. Before co-founding LionPride, he was a partner at Deloitte South Africa, leading corporate finance in mining. He spent 12 years with Global Mining (California), consulting to top-tier natural resource firms and managing a $300 million private equity portfolio under Hambrecht & Quist. His earlier roles include finance executive finance at Woolworths (South Africa), M&A at Rio Tinto (London), strategy consulting at McKinsey (London), commercial management at Unilever (Durban), and articles at Deloitte.

Deven is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Master’s in Business Leadership, and is a Fellow of CIMA.

Deven Govender

Brett joined LionPride in 2018 and has extensive experience with leading blue-chip consumer goods brands across Southern Africa. He held executive roles at The Coca-Cola Company, including Managing Director, Strategy Director, Finance Director, and Franchise Director, and was Finance Director at Tiger Brands (confectionery and beverages). He also served as CEO of an independent bottler and began his career at EY and Kellogg.

Brett is a Chartered Accountant (SA), holds an MBL from UNISA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy, and a BAcc from UKZN.

Mahen joined LionPride in 2020 and has over 30 years of experience in FMCG, with senior roles at Unilever and Tiger Brands. At Unilever, he served as Account Director and Customer Operations Director, and at Tiger Brands, he was Customer Executive and later Group Customer Director for Strategy & Capability. He has led large-scale transformation projects and contributed to global strategic execution teams.

Mahen holds a BCom in Accounting and Economics from UNISA.

Mahen Naidoo

Terence joined LionPride in 2018. He spent a decade in mining and academia before moving into strategy consulting at Monitor Company. He then spent 12 years at Nedbank Capital in M&A, HR, marketing, and research, eventually becoming Head of Strategy. He has since worked in tech consulting and capital raising and currently serves as CEO of a renewable energy division focused on solar.

Terence holds an MSc in Chemistry from UKZN and an MBA from Wits Business School.

Graeme has nearly 30 years of experience across banking, asset management, stockbroking, and fiduciary services. He is the founder and Managing Director of Korner Perspective, a licensed financial services provider, and co-founder of KP Fiduciary Solutions.

Graeme specialises in advising high-net-worth families and non-profit organisations on investment strategy, wealth preservation, and governance.

Oksana joined the LionPride team in 2023, bringing over 25 years of global experience in sales and business development across a range of industries, including manufacturing, defence, healthcare, wellness, banking, and finance. She provides communication and deal-making support to all companies within the LionPride Holdings portfolio. Her expertise spans branding, marketing, executive communications, and strategic market positioning.

Oksana holds a Bachelor's degree in International Economics from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine.

Thandeka manages the daily administrative operations at LionPride and provides dedicated support to senior management. She plays a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of internal processes and communication across the organisation.

Thandeka holds a National Diploma in Public Relations from UNISA.
